I was browsing the web earlier when I came across this, and I couldn’t help but roll my eyes. I’ve had short hair, I know what it’s all about, and it isn’t near as fun as they’re making it out to be. Here are 6 reasons I think it’s better to have long hair:
1. It Keeps you Warm
I live in Canada – Winters here (especially this one) are excessively cold. We’re currently in the middle of a polar vortex, and I’m pretty sure I’d be a lot colder than I already am if I had sort hair. Seriously, I feel really bad for dudes and girls with short hair right now – A hat won’t help your neck.
2. It’s Easy to Deal with in a Pinch
You woke up late this morning and you don’t have time to wash, straiten and style your hair or you’re going to be late for work? No problem! Simply throw it in a ponytail or bun – You’ll get to work on time and still look professional.
3. You can do so much more with it
Short hair can basically be styled how it’s cut, and that’s it. Depending on just how long your hair is, you can style it virtually however you want and still make it look stunning.
4. You Actually get your Moneys Worth
Maybe it’s just me, but if I’m going to spend $100 at the salon to have my hair colored or highlighted, I’d like to know that my money was well spent. Regardless of the length of my hair, it’s still going to cost me a hundred bucks to have it colored (at least where I go).
5. Men Prefer it
Before writing this post, I polled a bunch of guys that I know, asking them if they prefer their women with short or long hair. Just about every one of them said they’re far more attracted to a woman with long hair. And you know what? I don’t blame them. I know that if I were a dude, I wouldn’t want to date a chick that had shorter hair than me. Now, that’s not to say that every short hairstyle is “dude short”, but some women do take it to the extreme.
6. It’s More Flattering
There are thousands of different long hairstyles – one for just about every woman – and there’s just something about long hair that’s more feminine, more lovely, and just better looking all around.
